The Pattern is a free social networking app created by Pattern Home, Inc. It mainly acts as a personalized astrology app to help you better understand yourself and connect with others on a deeper level. You don’t need to be knowledgeable in astrology to understand the readings that The Pattern will give you.

The Traditional Way

In a nutshell, astrology is a pseudoscience that claims to divine information about how events unfold in your life by studying the movements and relative positions of celestial objects. This study has been around for a long time now, and even in the modern world, it’s a popular pastime for a large number of people. There are various astrological systems in place today, depending on their location of origin. The most popular ones are the Western and Chinese zodiac signs, and they are attributed to a lot of belief systems and traditions that people still practice today, such as Feng Shui.

The Pattern displays itself more like a social media app because of the option to connect with people you know, and see readings about each other and your relationship dynamics. The app prompts you to provide your astrological birth chart information, including your name, gender, date of birth, and time and place of birth. Using this, the app will give you a detailed daily reading about who you are and the things that are deeply hidden in your subconsciousness.

Instead of astrological terms, The Pattern will show you three sections for your readings, namely Foundation, Development, and Relationships. Each of these sections comes divided according to the six aspects of your personality, all of which makes up the Personal Pattern, which will help you gain insight into the various sides of your persona.

The Pattern app also comes with a private section called "Your Timing," which shows an overview of what you are going through at the moment based on the astronomical measurements and positions in place at that time. More so, the app gives you daily updates about yourself, your friends, and your family from the Feed section. And since this is a social networking app, you can add your contacts to learn about the different patterns that you share. You can even make custom profiles of the people who do not use the app and get a quick or in-depth reading about them. 

The Cold Hard Truth

The Pattern serves as a blunt reflection on who you are. Its purpose is to help you understand these personality dynamics, so you can navigate the hard times in your life and take advantage of the positive opportunities that you might otherwise miss. It does this all by speaking to you on a personal and simple way. However,  if you don’t like how close The Pattern can get to figuring you out, then be careful with how you use it. This is a different kind of astrology app.
